Ok, so we’re not launching theinfoloop.com in Oct.
At this point, there isn’t enough time to focus on opening up a new venue…
..SO, expect MORE great marketing advice from here – we’ll get the proper blogging system set up soon!

I guess the lesson in this post would be:
If you make a mistake, admit it quickly …AND let people know you messed up. They’ll forgive you most of the time. ;)

A Super Quick Follow-up

Posted in Louisville Home Improvement, Louisville Home Services, Louisville KY, Marketing, Marketing advice, USA Marketing on July 30, 2009 by serveloopcom

Here is a quick follow-up on the previous post.

No matter what business you’re in, there are only 3 ways to generate revenue in your company.

  1. Get new customers.  (most expensive)
  2. Get existing customers to buy from you more often. (less expensive)
  3. Increase the transaction size or sell additional “related” products or services to your buyers. (best of ALL)

McDonalds has mastered the art of the up-sell. Each and every employee is trained to ask “would you like to supersize that?”

Now, Work Smarter

Entrepreneurs and business owners could possibly be forced to rethink the way that they look at their customers to help their business.

When I ask a business owner “what could help your business RIGHT NOW”

I will get a 2 or three word answer “new customers”…Or “more new customers”
They want to target more new people to sell their product or services to.

That’s all well and good however you may have notices that certain things have changed in the economy and it cost increasingly more to reach out to new people that may or may not be in the market for what you have to offer …Stay with me here. I’m going somewhere very important with this.

In fact, what entrepreneurs and business owners should be using 80% of your time targeting your top 20% or 10% or even top 5% (depending on how large your customer base is) of existing and past customers.

It is easier to sell to your good customers than it is to sell to your bottom 80% of customers.

The reason is that the TOP 20% of your customers already know you and have had a good experience using your products or services so they want more of you and what you have to offer.

Identify these top 20% of good customers.
Design a “special” product or a “special” service that you offer to your very best customers. Those top 10 or 20%ers.

Ask yourself and determine “who are these people” are and “what more of me / my service do they want.”

If 20% know you and have had a good experience with you, they will want MORE from YOU.

Let them know that you RECOGNIZE and VALUE them and that they are in an ELITE group.

Implement a program just for those “special” people that you value the most.  It will save time and money and will impact your bottom line like nothing before.

Go get’em.

To break up some of the monotony.
That is me and Oscar, my “17 year old buddy!”
(with me since he was 2 or 3 months old.)

Yeah, his breath stinks a little …but he’s STILL a little CHAMPION for hanging in there…
and I tell him that every day.  Happy B-day little Man.

I came across this today while
looking for another doc.
Read ALL of this.
The offer at the bottom is UNREAL!
=================

It’s always interesting when you’re asked to write about yourself and/or your company. You wonder… how should I come across?

As professional? (And risk sounding like a stiff?)
Should I be funny? (And risk sounding silly?)
Should I sound smart? (And risk putting my foot in my mouth?)
What will people that visit my profile want to know about me/my business? After all, I am a professional.

First, relax. Putting yourself ‘out-there’ so to speak is an interesting concept to say the least. However, like everything else that we do, you will get out what you put in.
Think of ServeLoop as a SPRINGBOARD for getting more exposure to your business. Being In The Loop is a GOOD thing.

With that said, let me assure you that each and every person that has ever written about themselves, their business or posted a comment on a blog wonders the exact same thing.
Thing is, there’s nothing to fear …except maybe getting too much business because people now know who you are and what you do.

“About” is the title of this page. Keeping it brief, there is one thing that I would like to say About ServeLoop and it’s CEO:

In my professional career, as well as my blue collar one, I have met a LOT of people. Some of which were millionaires; others were living paycheck to paycheck. One thing I have found that transcends both economic and social status is the respect that folks have for people that work hard and are not afraid to ‘put themselves out there’ and go for what they want.

Join the conversation. Tell us who you are and what you do. Ckick here This is a service related blog so if you have a job or a business, you have something to contribute.
